I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel in Nosara, Costa Rica. The location is absolutely perfect, and the property itself is stunning. The use of high-quality materials throughout the building, combined with the thoughtful design, creates a beautiful and very relaxing atmosphere. Everything about the aesthetic is simply amazing. The services and facilities are excellent. The rooftop terrace with the pool is a real highlight — an incredible place to relax. I especially loved that I could comfortably work for a few hours on the terrace in the shade, enjoying the open-air setting and the peaceful environment. Breakfast is fantastic, with great quality and variety. The staff made the experience even more special. Rosa was incredibly kind and attentive, always making sure we were well taken care of. At the reception, everyone was welcoming and helpful as well — Israel and the team were always friendly and ready to assist with anything we needed. The housekeeping staff were also wonderful: fast, thorough, kind, and the rooms were always perfectly clean. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my stay. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I have already booked my return for next year.

Just came back from an amazing trip to Costa Rica! We had a fantastic experience at Silvestre Nosara Hotel and Residences. Part of me didn't want to write this review as I don't want to give away this special secret place! We hope to be back soon! We had a Tropical Garden Grand Residence with Sauna and Cold Plunge. The room was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need for a family of 4! The finishes and furniture in the room were top notch. On arrival the hotel left some fruit and food and was accommodating to some other requests we had. We used the outdoor grill and kitchen to cook a blue fin tuna that we caught while fishing! We were also able to use the upstairs restaurant area for a dinner with a private chef! The complimentary breakfast was perfect and tasty. The hotel was centrally located within walking distance to restaurants and possibly one of the closest hotels the beach! The front desk attendants were friendly and helpful. The hotel was quickly cleaned if there was ever any sand that was trailed in through the beach. Our flight home was canceled and the hotel was luckily able to easily accommodate us another night. This helped with the stress of having to change our way home. We used the concierge to book many adventures. They set us up with an awesome surf company, restaurant reservations, a private yoga class for the family in the gym and even more! The only way to make this trip even better is if we had some more clear cut expectations from the concierge. We had worked together with another family on an itinerary that was best for us. We had a week full of excursions, lessons and reservations that we planned weeks before the trip. On arrival, while getting our luggage and traveling to the hotel, payment was demanded through Whats App for all the excursions and transportation. This was a busy time for us as it was bumpy and nerve racking transport. During this trip, we were also told that many of the day trips, reservations and lessons we had spoken about could no longer be booked and were full. This was so upsetting as we had planned the trip around these lessons and reservations. After expressing how upset we were, somehow most of our reservations were able to be found?! The concierge was never on premises when we were talking to her and we communicated only through WhatsApp. I would suggest for the concierge to book the excursions before guests arrive and to be clear about what we were signing up for. For example, we booked a boat trip to the Pink Sand Beach. On arrival on the boat, the captain told us that we would be unable to visit the Pink Sand Beach because it was high tide! I found this excursion and time through the hotel activities PDF. Now, you could imagine our faces when we were told this. In the end, we had a magical boat trip because of other activities (I won't give them away) but I was so confused on how that could have happened. In addition, there were a few other examples of this miscommunication that could have been avoided. Perhaps a summary of what might be needed and expected on the zip lining tour etc. would be helpful to guests in the future. On arrival, we were also told that all golf carts were booked and unable to be rented. We inquired a few times at the front desk and magically they were found. Perhaps having everyone on the same page would be easier for communication with the staff. When going through the concierge to book additional surfing lessons we were told they were unavailable for the certain times that we needed but when we asked the company we were told that they were available. We didn't know where this breakdown was happening. Please note besides these issues with explanations and communication, we were impressed by the activities they helped us to find. We loved the yoga teacher the hotel supplied, the surf company they suggested, the private chef, and the transports were professional.

Pros: really beautiful apartment. Great shower, wifi, beds, and the extra were supper nice like a wonderful bowl of fruit on arrival. Staff very friendly. Five minute walk to the beach, which is a gorgeous one. The rooftop pool is wonderful, can see a lot of birds which my son enjoyed. Part of it is shallow so he could stand too. Breakfast included was simple but great. Cons: washing machine was broken, but they let us give them laundry to wash which we did every day, and always got back same day. Biggest surprise was that the hotel is right on an unpaved street that had a decent bit of traffic, including atv and motorcycle. You can hear it pretty easily from the room, although it quiets down at night. We're were up around six with kids so it didn't end up being a big deal, but it was disappointing we didn't get a room in the back not facing the road, since I requested a quiet room.

We visited Silvestre in early July and would recommend it to any families looking for a luxurious yet exciting adventure. We flew into Liberia Airport and rented a car from Vamos to drive down to Nosara. The drive took about 2.5 hours, including a quick stop in Nicoya for groceries. When we arrived at Silvestre, the staff was expecting us and welcomed us with delicious coconuts to drink, which was one of our pre-vacation goals. They helped us to our room, and we were happy to find that our refrigerator and dining table were already full of food! In the fridge were eggs, milk, a bottle of Prosecco, and a giant watermelon. On the table, there was a loaf of bread, honey, three of the biggest avocados I had ever seen, bananas, banana chips, and a pineapple. The apartment came with everything we could possibly need, including an oven-microwave combo, a stove, pots, pans, oils, and spices. Really everything! It also included a balcony with hanging chairs, a living room, and two large bathrooms. Once the kids settled in, we made our way to the upstairs bar, which was only available to hotel guests, and enjoyed a delicious cocktail called a Mezcalita (highly recommended). We had a relaxing evening and returned in the morning for breakfast, which was served restaurant-style rather than continental. Over the course of the week, I tried every single dish. I would personally recommend the trout sandwich and omelet if you are very hungry, the pancake if you want something fun, and the granola bowl if you want the best breakfast you have ever had in your life. While we visited the nearby waterfall, pickleball courts, and neighboring beaches, nothing could beat the hotel pool and the beach just steps away. The hotel provided boogie boards and surfboards, along with rash guards, chairs, umbrellas, and even a wagon. The beach had soft sand with long shallow shores, making it perfect for kids to learn boogie boarding and surfing. Thanks for the hospitality. We are looking forward to coming again soon.

Having an apartment has been amazing. Plenty of room for our family of 5.
