Stayed in July with family. We had the choice from three lovely cottages. Ours had a lovely and comfy king sized bed in a beautifully decorated room. The other double rooms are also well decorated and have lots of space...ideal for our older family. The owners are very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. The cottages look over a beautiful chateau and the outside spaces are very well equipped for outdoor entertaining in the evenings. The outdoor pool was a bonus. A good central venue to explore wine and cultural areas in the Loire. We will be returning.

We have taken the family to Chateau Vary on many occasions, spring and summer, over several years. One of the most delightful places I have ever been to. Period. Great place, great people who run it, lovely setting, and the Loire is fabulous. Safe, fun place for kids. The cars are parked away from the gites and the chateau so for little kids it is as safe as it could be. We love it. Swimming, exploring, walking, golf, cycling (they have bikes), delightful local village. If you could only ever go to this place for a holiday you would be very fortunate.
