The Problem We’re Solving
Every time you book a hotel, cruise, flight, car rental, or travel insurance through a traditional platform, an agency commission is discreetly added to the price. You never see it, but you always pay it. That markup doesn’t make your stay more enjoyable, your cabin more accommodating, or your risk coverage better. It just makes your trip more expensive.
We thought that was worth fixing.
How World Playground Works
We flipped the traditional travel booking model on its head. We never add a single cent of commission to a travel product, and we never keep one either.
Hotels — We offer wholesale pricing that cuts out industry standard markups, giving you access to the same insider rates travel agents receive.
Cruises & Insurance — When a cruise line or insurance company mandates that we take a commission on your booking, we reward those dollars back to you as Travel Credits to be used on future travel reservations. That money was always yours. We make sure it stays that way.

The Story Behind Our Name
During my years in the NHL, I was asked for my autograph almost every day. Just signing my name never felt like enough, so I started adding a message above it:

The idea was simple—remind people, no matter their age, to see the world as something to explore, enjoy, and play in. Over time, those words stuck with me. World and playground kept pulling at something deeper, and I knew one day they’d become more than just a message.
That day came in 2020.
I turned my passion for adventure into my next chapter and launched World Playground, a bucket-list travel company built around that same belief. But as I stepped into the travel industry, I quickly saw something that didn’t sit right: travelers were quietly overpaying. Hidden commissions and markups—charges travelers were not made aware of—were built into nearly every booking. The system wasn’t designed to serve the traveler; it was designed to profit off of them.
I knew there had to be a better way.
I’ve always seen the world as a place of endless possibility. That mindset helped me live out my childhood dream of playing professional hockey, and it’s what drives me now—to build a travel platform that truly puts people first. One where you keep the savings, unlock insider pricing, and never have to question whether you’re paying more than you should.

Meet Koda — The Face Behind Our Logo
Every company has a logo. Ours has a story—and a heartbeat.
Koda, my Siberian Husky, is the inspiration behind our World Playground logo. In 2018, rescue shelters across Los Angeles were overwhelmed, and many dogs were at risk of being put down due to overcrowding. A friend of mine adopted a husky from one of those shelters and mentioned her brother was still waiting for a home. I wasn’t looking for a dog at the time, but I agreed to meet him.
That decision changed everything.
We went for a run through the LA canyons—four miles on the trails, leash on—and he never left my side. The next day, I took the leash off to see what he’d do. He stayed right with me. When I sped up, he matched me. When I turned, he followed. At the end of that run, I knew—he was my boy for life.
Adopting Koda was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
I made a promise to him: to take him around the world and give him the best life possible. It’s the same promise we make to every World Playground member—to be by your side, to guide you, and to make every journey better because we’re in it together.
That’s why Koda is our logo. His face is a daily reminder of what this is all about—not just building a business, but honoring a commitment: to our community, to the spirit of adventure, and to creating experiences that truly matter.
